AXELOS framework composing PRINCE2 governance with agile delivery techniques drawn primarily from DSDM and Scrum.

PRINCE2 Agile is the AXELOS framework composing PRINCE2's project-governance structure with agile delivery techniques drawn principally from DSDM and Scrum. First published in June 2015 as a guide and certification scheme, it preserves the seven PRINCE2 principles, themes, and processes while tailoring them for agile delivery contexts — using DSDM's MoSCoW prioritization and fixed-time-and-cost-with-flexible-scope approach, integrating Scrum events and artifacts where appropriate, and providing the Agilometer assessment tool for evaluating project agile readiness. PRINCE2 Agile is positioned as a wrapper rather than a replacement: it argues that PRINCE2 governance is necessary at the project level (business case, exception management, stage boundaries) while delivery within stages can be conducted with agile methods. The Practitioner certification builds on PRINCE2 Practitioner.
